What is the difference between a silicone and a plastic case?

A silicone case is soft and flexible, and it absorbs impact well. It grips in the hand, but it collects dust and yellows over time. A hard plastic (PC) case is thin and easy to keep clean, but it does not give under impact. For most people a TPU or hybrid case is the better compromise — it combines both.

How do I choose the right case?

Choose for the way you actually use the phone: if you drop it often, take a rugged case; if you want to keep the phone slim, TPU or silicone is enough; if you want to carry cards, pick a wallet case. Above all, check that the case is made for your exact phone model.

Does a case protect against drops?

Yes, though how much depends on the type. A thin silicone case keeps scratches away and helps with low falls. Rugged cases such as UAG or Spigen Tough Armor are drop-tested from 2–3 metres and give the most protection.

Why does a clear silicone case turn yellow?

UV light and the natural oils on your skin cause it. It is normal and cannot be prevented entirely. Tip: a darker colour or a clear TPU case yellows far less visibly.

Description

The Panther series case is made of a thermoplastic and durable material that imitates metal. The cover is tailored for precise model. Perfectly protects the phone against damage due to falls or scratches. Raised edges around the screen and rear camera protect the phone from scratching these elements when it is placed on a flat surface. It has responsive buttons and cutouts for ports. Perfect for people who value style, quality and want to take care of their device. It has a built-in metal ring that allows you to conveniently use the phone with one hand and also functions as a stand.
