Does fast charging damage the battery?

No. Phones made from 2020 onwards manage charging speed and temperature themselves, so fast charging is safe for everyday use. If you want to stretch battery life as far as possible, wired charging at a moderate 10–20 W is the gentlest option.

Can I use any USB-C charger?

Yes, USB-C is a common standard. Fast charging, however, only works with a compatible charger (Quick Charge, USB-PD, SuperVOOC). Always use a certified charger — an uncertified one charges slowly and can be unsafe.

Wireless or wired charging — which is better?

Wired is faster and more efficient, because less energy turns into heat. Wireless is more convenient but slower and runs warmer. For long-term battery health wired is slightly better, though with current technology the difference is small.

How powerful a charger do I need?

Crong MagSpot is a compact gold-coloured magnetic wireless charger with an aluminium frame, tempered-glass charging surface and an integrated 1 m USB-C cable. The manufacturer's code is CRG-MS15W-GLD. It supports the Qi standard and uses magnets to align compatible MagSafe iPhones and cases.

Maximum stated wireless output is 15 W. Actual power, charging speed and temperature depend on the phone or earbuds, USB-C power adapter, case thickness, alignment and battery state.
Qi-compatible phones and AirPods charging cases can also be charged. Devices without MagSafe magnets may not attach magnetically and must be centred manually.
Foreign-object detection (FOD) is designed to detect unsuitable metal objects in the charging area. Remove keys, coins, cards and metal accessories before use.
The specified energy-transfer distance is 3–8 mm, and the charger measures 70 × 70 × 8.5 mm and weighs about 65 g. Thick or metal cases can interrupt charging.
Before first use, remove the transparent protective film from the glass side. The aluminium and glass construction helps dissipate heat, but warming during wireless charging is normal.
