Does fast charging damage the battery?

No. Phones made from 2020 onwards manage charging speed and temperature themselves, so fast charging is safe for everyday use. If you want to stretch battery life as far as possible, wired charging at a moderate 10–20 W is the gentlest option.

Can I use any USB-C charger?

Yes, USB-C is a common standard. Fast charging, however, only works with a compatible charger (Quick Charge, USB-PD, SuperVOOC). Always use a certified charger — an uncertified one charges slowly and can be unsafe.

Wireless or wired charging — which is better?

Wired is faster and more efficient, because less energy turns into heat. Wireless is more convenient but slower and runs warmer. For long-term battery health wired is slightly better, though with current technology the difference is small.

How powerful a charger do I need?

The Xiaomi PB1165MI power bank has a 10000 mAh capacity, a color LED display and a built-in USB-C cable. It provides up to 165 W combined output: up to 120 W through the integrated cable and up to 45 W through the USB-C port. Both connectors support charging the power bank and external devices.

The built-in cable can be stored in a dedicated opening and used as a carrying loop. Fast self-charging reaches up to 90 W; with a suitable charger, the manufacturer states that the battery can reach 75% in about 15 minutes. The 36 Wh capacity is suitable for air travel subject to airline rules.
