Rossmax AM40 alternating-pressure cell mattress
The Nylon cell mattress uses 2 to 1 alternating therapy: one half of the cells inflate while the other half deflate. A complete cycle takes 12 minutes. The pump provides a pressure setting based on the patient's weight and is designed for low-noise operation. Adjustable hangers fit most bed types.
Supplier-stated intended use
The supplier positions the cell mattress for patients at medium to high risk of pressure ulcers. Within its stage 1–4 pressure-ulcer classification overview, it recommends bubble mattresses for stages 1–2 and cell mattresses such as this one for stages 2–4.
