What is the difference between a silicone and a plastic case?

A silicone case is soft and flexible, and it absorbs impact well. It grips in the hand, but it collects dust and yellows over time. A hard plastic (PC) case is thin and easy to keep clean, but it does not give under impact. For most people a TPU or hybrid case is the better compromise — it combines both.

How do I choose the right case?

Choose for the way you actually use the phone: if you drop it often, take a rugged case; if you want to keep the phone slim, TPU or silicone is enough; if you want to carry cards, pick a wallet case. Above all, check that the case is made for your exact phone model.

Does a case protect against drops?

Yes, though how much depends on the type. A thin silicone case keeps scratches away and helps with low falls. Rugged cases such as UAG or Spigen Tough Armor are drop-tested from 2–3 metres and give the most protection.

Why does a clear silicone case turn yellow?

UV light and the natural oils on your skin cause it. It is normal and cannot be prevented entirely. Tip: a darker colour or a clear TPU case yellows far less visibly.

Description

The Smart Magneto flip case combines a matte black metallized outer material with a black TPU inner holder and soft fabric lining. The lining helps protect the screen from scratches, while the fitted holder keeps the phone securely in place.

An internal pocket accommodates payment cards, cash or documents. The cover folds into a horizontal stand for browsing the web or watching videos, and button cutouts keep the phone's controls accessible.

A magnetic fastener helps keep the cover closed during everyday use. Materials: plastic and TPU. Fastener: magnet.
