Tempered glass or hydrogel film — what is the difference?

Tempered glass (9H hardness) protects against drops and scratches and feels like the real screen under your finger. Hydrogel film is thinner and flexible, sits properly on a curved screen and heals surface scratches by itself — but it does not absorb impact. For most phones we recommend tempered glass.

Does a screen protector make the display worse?

No. A good protector has over 99% light transmission and an oleophobic coating that repels fingerprints. Colours and brightness stay the same.

Will a protector interfere with the fingerprint reader?

Tempered glass can slow down an in-display reader slightly. Hydrogel film works better with that technology. Tip: re-register your fingerprints after fitting the protector.

How often should a screen protector be replaced?

Replace it as soon as you see cracks or deep scratches — a cracked protector no longer protects properly. A good one typically lasts 6–12 months.

Description

Tempered glass 6D matte for iPhone 16 Pro Max

The 6D matte tempered glass has a hardness of 9H and provides full-screen protection. Its anti-reflective matte surface reduces reflections and glare from sunlight, keeping the display easier to read in bright surroundings. It also reduces fingerprints and dirt and feels smooth to the touch. Fingers glide easily over the surface, which is convenient for gaming and frequent typing while maintaining precise touch control.
