Tempered glass or hydrogel film — what is the difference?

Tempered glass (9H hardness) protects against drops and scratches and feels like the real screen under your finger. Hydrogel film is thinner and flexible, sits properly on a curved screen and heals surface scratches by itself — but it does not absorb impact. For most phones we recommend tempered glass.

Does a screen protector make the display worse?

No. A good protector has over 99% light transmission and an oleophobic coating that repels fingerprints. Colours and brightness stay the same.

Will a protector interfere with the fingerprint reader?

Tempered glass can slow down an in-display reader slightly. Hydrogel film works better with that technology. Tip: re-register your fingerprints after fitting the protector.

How often should a screen protector be replaced?

Replace it as soon as you see cracks or deep scratches — a cracked protector no longer protects properly. A good one typically lasts 6–12 months.

Description

Tempered glass with a metal frame combines screen protection with an elegant appearance. The metal frame reinforces the structure and improves resistance to drops and mechanical damage.

The high-quality tempered glass has a 9H hardness rating and provides excellent scratch resistance. Its Anti-fingerprint coating helps reduce fingerprints. A protective layer evenly covers the glass surface and enhances durability, while the 2.5D finish supports a close fit to the screen.

The glass is 0.33 mm thick and preserves full touch functionality, making it suitable for users who value protection, quality, and style.
